Origins

The Alnwick Food Festival has been an important feature of Alnwick’s autumn events calendar since 2005 when it was founded by Don Watson. The Festival provides a showcase for local food producers and locally produced food. It coincides with the harvest time and is a natural time to celebrate local produce.

Until 2009 the Food Festival was managed and led by the Alnwick Lions Club. In 2010 a new Steering Committee was formed  - click here to meet the team behind the Food Festival

In 2010 the Steering Committee adopted a new 5 year Development Plan

Alnwick Food Festival is constituted as an unincorporated association.
