A Taste of Northumbria Print

“After a busy day watching chefs ply their trade and browsing in the Market Place, we are offering Food Festival patrons a change of tempo for the evening,” says Festival Chair, Philip Angier. “What could be more relaxing than listening to an accordion and Northumbrian pipes, and enjoying a wholesome buffet of local food and a choice of wine or local ale.”

Celebrated local musician Alistair Anderson and his ensemble will perform a programme of traditional Northumbrian music, the Black Olive Cafe will delight the taste-buds with a buffet of local fayre, while the Boutique Wine Company in Alnwick will ensure that throats are not dry.

The ‘Taste of Northumbria’ evening, which is supported by Co-operative Membership will take place in the Northumberland Hall on Saturdays 24th September.
