People from the town and surrounding district have been coming to Alnwick Markets for hundreds of years to buy and sell provisions, and exchange news with traders and acquaintances.

On our regular market days (Thursdays, Saturdays and a monthly Farmers Market) you can buy local produce, find a bargain and enjoy the genial atmosphere in the Market Place. At holiday times we bring entertainment and children’s activities to the Market Place.

It is a way of life for many local people who come each week and for visitors it can be an enjoyable part of your day out in Alnwick.

Alnwick Markets is proud to be a partner of the Food Festival and to incorporate the monthly Farmers’ Market into the 2011 Festival programme
