The Co-operative will again this year show its commitment to promoting good diet and health at Alnwick Food Festival

Eating the right foods and taking more exercise is not always easy, so join us, community chef Mark Earnden and storyteller Adam Bushnell at our member and family events to find out more.

Two events will take place in the Pottergate Centre, Howling Lane, Alnwick, on Saturday, September 22.

The first event, Healthy Living Demonstration, begins at 10.30am and runs until noon. Community chef Mark Earnden will demonstrate a variety of quick, easy and healthy family dishes, helped along by stories from storyteller Adam Bushnell, author of Mark and the Dragon (pictured). This event is for all members of the family. Unfortunately for reasons of safety children under the age of six and not allowed to attend.

The second event, Healthy Living Demonstration and Cooking Workshop begins at 2pm. This is a participative event for all the family. Community chef Mark will demonstrate various dishes, this will be followed by a workshop where family groups (mums, dads, grannies, grandpas, children and teenagers) will put together the dishes for themselves, with help from Mark and storyteller Adam. This event is for all the family.
As with the event in the morning, for reasons of safety children under the age of six will not be allowed to attend.
